Beautiful rustic park. This is one of the newest state parks. There are beautiful lakes and wooded hills along the Straight River. The Ice Age Trail through this park is particularly nice as it winds through diverse habitats. The flat rocks laid across the river crossing are particularly nice and make a safe but interesting crossing. Not a lot of services here but as a result, you can find solitude.

Great park! Never busy. Great place for a walk in the park with the dog.
Lovely trails. New parking lot and pit toilet with a picnic shelter. Several walk in campsites, some lakeside. Canoe landings on two lakes. Trails connect with the Ice Age Trail. A hidden gem.
